Biography

Brazilian singer-songwriter Marina de Oliveira Sena, professionally known as Marina Sena, was born on September 26, 1996, in Taiobeiras, Minas Gerais. Her affinity for music was evident from a very young age and, by the time she was 15, she was already writing her own songs. Two years later, she showcased her talent on the reality singing competition The Voice Brasil. Marina's journey into the professional music world began in 2015 as the lead vocalist for A Outra Banda da Lua, with whom she released an album and an EP before joining Rosa Neon in 2019. The group disbanded in 2020, shortly after releasing their farewell track, "A Gente É Demais." In 2021, Marina Sena unveiled her first solo album, De Primeira, which featured the hit single "Me Toca." That same year, she won three Multishow Brazilian Music Awards for Breakthrough of the Year, Best Experimental Artist, and Best Album. Her rising star was further affirmed in 2022 with two Latin Grammy nominations for the Portuguese Language Contemporary Pop Album and Best Portuguese Language Song for "Por Supuesto." In 2023, Marina embarked on a new chapter, signing with Sony Music Brazil and releasing a second studio album titled Vício Inerente. Produced by Iuri Rio Branco, Vício Inerente contained the singles "Tudo Pra Amar Você" and "Olho no Gato," as well the Fleezus collaboration "Que Tal."
