I started playing the piano at the age of 9. Later I also took e-organ and keyboard lessons. I had my first compositional attempts on the computer at the age of 16.
At 19 I discovered my first serious musical ambitions in the band "Insomnia" as a keyboard player, where I was able to work together with Jörn Hintze (guitarist) on progressive-rock compositions based on classical film music.
At that time I was already very interested in orchestral film music, especially by John Williams, James Horner and Danny Elfman (later also Alan Silvestri, Thomas Newman and Hans Zimmer). These composers have had the greatest influence on my own music. However, progressive rock bands à la Dream Theater or PlanetX still inspire me.
My absolute favorite musician of the last years is the British multi-instrumentalist and harmony god Jacob Collier. His music is THE reference for me in terms of production quality and musical arrangement. And it is an incredible inspiration for new ideas.
I was able to professionalize the audio engineering side of producing (recording, mixing, mastering) at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in Berlin. From 2005 to 2010 I was an audio producer at the multimedia company MAGIX AG in Berlin, before I finally went freelance with TerraSound.de in August 2010.
