Guitarrista brasileiro de blues / Brazilian blues guitar player.
Born in Crato, state of Ceará, Brazil, Roberto Lessa is a blues guitarist influenced by B.B. King , Lightnin' Hopkins and Albert Collins, having been a member of the bands Blues Label and Gumbo Blues . In 2018, he started his solo career releasing the song 44 Blues , a classic blues arranged uniting the sound of the folk bands from his native land with the “fife and drum” from Mississippi. The song is on their debut EP Lone Wolf , released in October of that year. Since then, Roberto Lessa has released 16 singles and three EPs and is in the pre-production of his 1st album to be released in 2023.
Roberto played in Canoa Blues Festival; Guaramiranga Jazz & Blues Festival; Barra Jazz Festival; 7th International Blues Meeting of Cañada del Gómez, Argentina; and Blues In Rio in Rio de Janeiro-RJ. Roberto hosts and produces the radio show “Encontro com O Blues” broadcast by Rádio Universitária FM in Fortaleza-CE, Brazil.
