Born and raised by his mother in a small town on the coast of Spain, Skylar has felt the need to create music throughout his entire life. When he turned six, he picked up a guitar for the very first time and with the help of his teacher, he became a skilled, elegant and capable player. After refining his technique for another seven years, he knew his guitar-playing alone would not be enough to satisfy his extreme urge for self-expression. He was a writer at heart and through his friends circle and the culture around him, he quickly became aware of Hip-Hop, the intricacies of the genre and the infinite number of creative possibilities that came along with it. At fourteen years of age, he wrote his first rap. It was directed at a childhood bully as what people in this space would call a "diss track". This song was crucial in helping Sky realise that he did not want to use his craft as a weapon, instead, music would become his way to love, help and heal others. He continued to refine his lyrics on a daily basis and it wasn't long before he'd dip his toes into production. As soon as he had the confidence to take control of his own sound, he dove head-first into music and never looked back. Skylar writes, produces, mixes and masters all of his songs since his debut album "Freedom". Artists such as Mac Miller, Kota The Friend and J Cole were a pivotal influence in his self-discovery.
