Ziesjoem, stylized as Ziesjoem!, is a Dutch music group from Maastricht. Formed in 1986 by Jos Van Herpen and six other members, they initially performed sea shanties on boats before transitioning to original songs in the Maastrichts dialect. Their debut album Vol mèt goud gelaoje was released in 1992. Their second album, Is dat daan niks Merie? (1995), included one of their biggest hits "Zjuulke Zeuthout". Ziesjoem gained significant popularity during the Maastricht carnival when they won the Mestreechs Vastelaovendsleedsje in 1996 with "Drei daog laank verlore". Subsequent albums include Lekker mennekes en aander stökke (1997) and Zjiemelezjo (2002). The band also notably performed with André Rieu and regularly participated in cultural activities in Maastricht.
