"Sourdough" OUT NOW!! 💸
After raising hell throughout the underground rap scene in his hometown Nashville, Tennessee, Ronin
Black has become a true rising star amongst the darkness he evokes through his music. Since releasing
his first solo tracks to the world in 2018 he has further defined himself as an artist by his aggressive
braggadocio and cinematic storytelling delivered atop eerie and melancholic instrumentals.
Bom Eliah Mckissack, Ronin grew up in Music City, which contributes to his musical taste seeming to
span across the U.S. Citing Outkast, Blackstar, and The Roots as earlier impressions, then later Chief Keet
and Danny Brown, Ronin's diverse influences can be observed in his own sound as he displays a
versatility throughout his own discography.
A truly multifaceted artist, Ronin expands past the role of a simple lyricist/protagonist and dons the hats
of director and screenwriter with his releases. The songs paired with the visuals are both visceral and
unsettling, an apt and cohesive representation of a gruesome world of his creation. His meticulousness
in delivering experiences to audiences brings anticipation for his upcoming project "Killcity" set to be
released 2024.
