Musician, composer, and poet, antero is the creative pseudonym of Andrea De Blasio, from Sarno, Italy.
With a high-level academic background, he studied under the guidance of Masters Dario Deidda and Tim Lefebvre, earning first and second-level diplomas in Jazz Bass from the Giuseppe Martucci Conservatory in Salerno.
Starting to play the bass at the age of 14, antero quickly developed a passion for music, collaborating with various groups and artists including Indubstry, Martucci Contemporary Jazz Ensemble, Apeiron, Glom, Smooth Jazz 4tet, and Zima. These collaborations allowed him to explore a wide range of musical genres, from jazz to rock, and electronic music.
Known for his experimentation and innovative approach to composition, antero was also an active cultural promoter and content creator, using storytelling to bring the public closer to the complexity of music. Through digital platforms, he shared his vast knowledge, offering engaging stories and in-depth insights.
Alongside his musical career, antero has cultivated a deep passion for poetry. His works explore metaphysical, symbolist, existentialist, and contemporary themes, reflecting deep emotions and inviting readers to uncover hidden meanings and reflect on existential issues.
