Paul's professional music industry CV is pretty impressive and spans 35 years. He has been signed to major labels throughout his UK recording artist career including Epic Records and Edel Records and as a writer with Warner Chappell and MCA Music.
He went on to play an influencing role in the origination of the dance music genre ‘Drum 'n' Bass’ in the early '90s; co-writing and co-producing the first album in the history of this genre “On a Quest for Intelligence” under the artist name 'Fast Floor' in 1994.
Further albums and a series of dance music releases for various labels followed throughout the 1990’s, including the co-written and co-produced album “Purveyors of the New Groove” under the artist name Earl Grey for internationally renowned DJ Carl Cox’s label Worldwide Ultimatum.
He also worked with UK DJ Chris Simmonds on a series of releases for Cross Section Records with one such track ‘City of Angels’ featured a collaboration with the legendary U.S. Keyboard player/composer Jeff Lorber.
Further house music releases followed with artist DJ Face, under the artist name Circle Line for the SWEAT label.
In 1999, he was selected as a PRS writer member to participate in a national song writing initiative in schools, covering various age groups, as part of the UK Government’s millennium programme.
He's gone on to produce numerous pop artists both in the UK and in Australia and has - for over 25 years – been on the roster of writers/producers for Sonoton Music; the largest independent library music company in Europe where he’s co-written/produced music for film, TV and other media including works for The Oprah Winfrey Show, National Geographic, Better Homes & Gardens, Home & Away, Dragon's Den, Discovery Channel and the BBC.
Since migrating to Perth, Western Australia in 2011, he’s co-founded Radio Circus Music with his business partner Patrick Carre; a composition/production company, together with two music publishing companies ‘Blushing Zebra’ and ‘Melodium’ which are both UK/Australian alliances. In 2023, Blushing Zebra secured a publishing agreement with the international digital music & publishing company Sentric.
His recent projects include tracks and full scores for independent films including “Runner”, “It Only Takes a Night”, “Touch” and “The Last Trip” and a library of music for the national DAB radio station ‘Disrupt Radio’.
He has recently completed a solo album project, collaborating with talent from all over the world. This album has been adopted by record company AWAL who will manage the international streaming distribution for the project. The album features Double Grammy Award winning pedal steel guitarist Lucky Oceans, Australian Idol & The Voice finalist Sharin Attamimi, Naim Cortazzi (Fun Loving Criminals) and American EDM star Virginia Slimm.
Paul regularly features on the panel of judges for the WA Music Song of the Year competition and the WAMMY's and also presents workshops and appears on expert panels at industry conferences and events.
