Cia de Arte Negra Contemporânea
Born in Morro do Querosene and currently active in the Rio Pequeno neighborhood for 14 years, Cia Treme Terra has been working on the outskirts of the west side of São Paulo, contributing to the decentralization of contemporary music and dance production. Throughout this period, the Company has been promoting training activities in the languages of dance and music, seeking to promote transdisciplinarity and constitute a space for discussion, exchange and research on Black Culture in dialogue with the surrounding community.
During its history the Cia presents two recorded albums. The first of 2006, Cultura de Resistencia, which features the participation of names such as Nazi (IRA!), Dinho Nascimento, Gaspar Z'África Brasil, among others. The second released in 2016, Terreiro Urbano, features the soundtrack of the eponymous show based on the symbolic representation of a xirê (traditional ceremony of greeting and exaltation to all orixás, sequence of candomblé dances, which begins with Exu and ends with Oxalá). Terreiro Urbano counts with the participation of Lirinha (Cordel do Fogo Encantado), Z'África Brasil and Adriana Morreira.
