I remember the first time I picked up a guitar, it felt like home. I was 13 at the time and was gifted enough to have a music program at my middle school. Instead of going to recess I would stay in the music room and practice.
The first guitar I had was given to me by my mother. I love you Patricia. She is the kind of mom that put headphones over her tummy while I was in gestation, playing the sweet sounds of Tom Petty and Prince.
