Ezequiel Dero, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 10 July 1968, was a DJ, producer, and remixer who began his career in local raves and private parties. His first breakthrough came with the 1992 single "Batucada", followed by the EP Dj Dero Volumen 1 in 1992, establishing his presence in the Argentine house scene. In 1993 he released Dj Dero Volumen 2, and in 1995 followed with Dj Dero Volumen 3, before signing with Oid Mortales Records and releasing Dj Dero Volumen 4: World Tour in 1999, which featured the track "Batucada". The subsequent years saw Dj Dero 5: Millenium (2000), Euforia (2001), and Electrosamba (2002), with collaborations such as "Tuk-tak" with Robbie Rivera. In 2004 he released Revolution 07 and the single "Mariacaipirinha" with Carlinhos Brown, and in 2005 launched South American Techno under his own Oid Mortales Records. He continued to produce albums, including I Retro (2008) and Animal (2009), while touring extensively across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
