Her voice can be sultry and sharp at the same time, making her sound both sweet and spicy. Who is this bubbly redheaded woman? GINGE is an independent artist from Utrecht, The Netherlands. Inspired by artists like Joy Crookes , IYAMAH and Snoh Aalegra, she makes songs that are a mixture of RnB, pop and neo-soul.
At the end of 2017 GINGE first started writing and making her own music. Starting out with Clarx Kent (who produced her first three singles) she found the power of turning her own experiences into songs. Writing about heartbreaks, rejection and adventure helped her get her thoughts in order.
GINGE’s latest release Whispers touches on compromising yourself for a tiny piece of love. Would you rather put yourself at risk for some affection or have nothing at all?
As of right now, GINGE is working on her first EP which will touch on subjects like feminism, infatuation and mental health in a smooth coat of mellowness and soul.
