Punk rock band based in Madrid, Spain, active from 1988 to 1999.
The Pleasure Fuckers Madrid 1987. Two American guitar players: Norah Findlay and Mike Sobieski. A bass player from the UK: Barnaby Bowles. A singer from Basque Country: Kike Turmix. They meet in the amazing neighborhood of Malasaña, Madrid and establish The Pleasure Fuckers. They set up headquarters with the idea to conquer the punk rock world. They have different drummers over the years, but that didn’t stop them from recording five albums, several singles and touring all over America and Europe. Their guitar heavy, garage, punk, rock and roll sound is heard everywhere, and the sound is a unique mix of Motörhead, Ramones and Pistols. After more than 10 years of Hate, Drunkenness and Vandalism, in 1999 they branched off and started new adventures.
Now in 2024 we are happy to announce the release of a new vinyl LP, “Malasaña Republic”, a collection of unedited, early and live recordings that pays tribute to Kike Turmix, Malasaña and all rock that punks and punk that rocks! One of Kike Turmix’s last wishes was that his ashes be scattered in Deba, his hometown, and Malasaña, his kingdom, so what better title for this new album than Malasaña Republic?
