The Honeymoon Killers, originally Les Tueurs de la Lune de Miel, were a Belgian experimental rock group formed in Brussels in 1974 by Yvon Vromman, Gérald Fenerberg, and JF Jones Jacob. Known for their eclectic style blending genres like rockabilly, punk, and French chanson, they released their debut album Special Manubre! in 1977. By 1980, the core members merged with Aksak Maboul, adding vocalist Véronique Vincent. This lineup recorded the album The Honeymoon Killers in 1981, featuring the hit single "Route nationale 7", an electronic cover of Charles Trenet. The album was released in 1982 and received critical acclaim across Europe. The group toured extensively before disbanding in 1985. Yvon Vromman passed away in 1989 due to a heroin overdose. Their second album was later recognized as one of the best Belgian rock albums of all time. Véronique Vincent died on October 5, 2025 at the age of 68.
