Before becoming a musician, Dan was a football player. He represented his club in Champions League qualification and played his last game for the Faroe Islands U21 national team in a European Qualifier game against Denmark in a 1-1 draw.
Always looking for new adventures, Dan put his boots on the shelf and set his eyes on Australia to study. During his university days he spent his spare time writing songs and performing at bars and clubs. And after graduating he then sold his guitar and moved with a bag of songs from Sydney to London, U.K.. He brought one of those songs Here With Me (written on a balcony in central Sydney where he shared an illegal flat with 11 multinational backpackers) and a big chunk of his savings into the studio of Steven A Williams (Eric Clapton, Freddie Mercury, Sting). The two produced it up, the song charted on Spotify Top 50 in countries like Singapore and quickly gained over a million streams.
Soon after he met his manager (Sam Smith's former manager). He's since toured Europe, China, the US, Russia, and South Africa, won an international songwriting competition, signed his publishing to the biggest independent music publisher, Peermusic, and has collaborated with creators including Grammy award-winners: Linda Perry (Adele, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus), @Braison Cyrus (Noah Cyrus), Sons of Sonix (Justin Bieber), New Haven (Imagine Dragons), Brad Mair (Kygo, Martin Garrix), Julian Simmons (Ed Sheeran), and Sonique.
