On the 16th of April 1998, Bob “Bobby G” Geerlings was born and later raised in the 077 area of The Netherlands. Bobby first started writing songs and rap lyrics in 2007 at the age of 8 years old. Earning him the nickname “Bobby G” amongst friends and family. Although Dutch is his mother tongue, Bobby wrote all of his lyrics in English and essentially learned the language through music. Coming from a musical family, Bobby played the drums growing up and music was always around the house.
As a teenager, Bobby learned how to make beats and produce songs on FL Studio alongside childhood friend and collaborator “Seventh”. By the time Bobby turned 18 he was fully writing, producing, recording, engineering and independently releasing his own music.
Heavily influenced by late 90s and early 2000s East Coast Hip Hop as well as the new, more melodic trap sounds of todays music, he is able to switch up his style however he sees fit. Bobby G is a true student of Hip Hop culture and allows his passion to shine through whenever possible. The result is a diverse array of Hip Hop beats on which he delivers thought provoking, personal and relatable bars through original well timed flows.
