Hi, my name is Piotr Zalewski. I'm a composer. I like to compare music to water, the sea, and tides. Imagine that you are looking at an impenetrable great substance that changes shape depending on its mood. It rages and stops. Takes you away, and calms you down. Pure emotion. Each of my musical idea starts with intuition. So it is not really my musical idea, but a prompt of a wise, united, universal energy that gives life to shapes. Intuition is the essence of creativity. I create by improvising. I create by repeating. Subconsciously, I choose sounds that merge into a theme, an idea, a cell. The mind supports me only when all this chaos needs dressing in a meaningful form - a repetitive, multi-dimensional structure accessible to the world, to the limited human perception. I create music, because it's my most effective way of expression.
