“Well-versed versatility” how better to describe the sound of Hilton ‘Deuce’ Wright II. The award-winning, 6x Billboard #1, RIAA platinum & gold certified, record producer, songwriter, and composer embraces the perfect blend of what has been, is and will forever be amazing in music. Getting his start in the church choir and school band on the outskirts of Detroit, this music man has already proven himself to be a flawless gem in the Motor City’s crown. In the early 2000s he teamed up with his cousin Brian to form the production duo WrighTrax. As a unit, the two cut their teeth by helping craft the sound of an unknown and unsigned Big Sean. The musical results secured the artist’s deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and subsequent deal with Def Jam.
Drawing inspiration from such musical giants as Michael Jackson, Rick Rubin, Quincy Jones and J. Dilla, to name a few, enables him to keep an un-capped, fresh approach to his music. To date, Hilton has had the great fortune of producing/writing for artists such as: Mike Posner, Big Sean, Sofia Reyes, Drake, Rick Ross, Pusha T, Mr. Hudson and the cast of the hit abc TV show black•ish as co-producer/composer of the song “Juneteenth” performed in the season four premiere (winner of a 2019 Guild of Music Supervisors Award). In addition to a host of other prominent and up-and-coming artists, he’s also had the opportunity to score advertisements for such major corporations as Ford, Wal-Mart, Jeep and Corona.
On July 15th, 2020, Hilton took his career to the next level by launching Seven15 Labs, a music-centric media company that serves as a creative outlet for his collaborations with artists across all genres.
Currently based in Los Angeles, CA, with his wife Maria and their two sons, Hilton has a goal to be more than just a producer or songwriter…he strives to be “a change agent using music as his springboard.”
