Breno César, Cantor, Compositor e instrumentista lança seu no álbum Churrasco Sertanejo em 2023
Breno César is a singer and songwriter who plays the Brazilian viola caipira and guitar. He comes from a family of musicians that spans six generations. His mother, Lya Monteiro, is a singer and songwriter who released an album in the 1990s under the Chororó record label. It was Lya who taught Breno how to sing at a very young age. Breno's maternal grandfather and uncle form the duo "Advogado e Engenheiro" (Lawyer and Engineer), who taught Breno how to play and make his own musical instruments at the family's luthier workshop, "ADEN Violões."
"ADEN Violões" has won several awards for excellence in instrument craftsmanship, and their instruments are exhibited at the Berlin Museum in Germany. Many renowned Brazilian musicians use instruments from "ADEN Violões."
Breno's father, Euclides de Freitas, is a radio broadcaster and a pioneer of sertanejo music in the Brazilian Midwest. He was one of the first to introduce sertanejo music on FM radio and to play it during the day when the genre faced prejudice and was only played in the early morning and on AM radio stations. Euclides also helped several music artists, such as Rick from the duo Rick e Rener, Chico Rey and Paraná, and Zé Mulato and Cassiano.
Breno César has released three albums as a duo and has launched his solo career by releasing his first live EP with original songs. He and his family were honored in the 2005 book "O Dito e O Feito" (The Said and the Done). His music is a blend of tradition and innovation, and he has been making a name for himself in the contemporary caipira music scene.
