Manika (pronounced Ma-NEE-ka) Ward is an Asian-Spanish American singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, TV-show host and published author. She was discovered by Michael Jacksonās long-time manager (music exec Frank DiLeo). Manika toured with One Direction on their North American tour. She also performed at KISS FMās Wango Tango, the Hollywood Style Awards, the nationally-televised Hallmark Hollywood Christmas Parade, headlined the Girl Scoutsā 100th Anniversary Tour and headlined Pepsiās Shop Til You Rock Tour. Manika was the headline performer to 200,000 people and 650 movie theaters (streamed through Fathom Events). This performance was also nationally and internationally televised (via Discovery Network). Manika also recently headlined Light nightclub in Mandalay Bay Las Vegas and Hakkasan nightclub in MGM Las Vegas. She also performed on the main stage at MGMās āWine Amplifiedā music festival with 50 Cent, Sublime, and Panic! Manika is on TV Sunday nights on The CW nationwide as Host of TV series The Look All Stars āThe Social Cornerā. The Look All Stars also stars Tori Spelling, alongside Manika. Manika also hosted reality TV-series (āGlobal Beauty Mastersā students) that aired on the TLC TV Network.
Manika wrote and co-produced her single āI Might Goā¦ā featuring Tyga. Manika also wrote and co-produced her last single āHow Can I Loveā (on Sirius XM & Top 40 radio) that peaked at number 7 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Single Sales Chart. She credits the huge success of this single to how the songās lyrics relate to such a personal, deeply emotional level to a diverse crowd. Also a published author, Manika donated the proceeds from her first book āThe Exciting Adventures of BOOā ( a childrenās chapter book) to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), served as their spokesperson and gave inspirational talks to inner-city schoolchildren and visited young cancer patients.
