Unique II, an Austrian Eurodance project, was founded in 1992 by producers Erwin Geppner and Werner Freistätter. The group initially consisted of Sandy Cooper on vocals and Def-Tone on rap for their debut single "Iko, Iko", which reached the top ten in the Austrian charts. Shortly after, Jade Davies and B-Nice joined, contributing to the hit song "Loveline" and the album Internity, both of which achieved significant chart success. In 1996, Unique II gained international recognition with their cover of Matthew Wilder's "Break My Stride", which topped charts in Austria and reached high positions in countries including Australia, Canada, Scandinavia, South Africa, and Italy. The group released several more singles and albums, including Level II and the 2000 album featuring Sheila Fernandez and Christian Troy, which included the top-ten hit "Forever". Unique II disbanded in 2003 as members pursued other ventures and their contract with Sony expired. Throughout their career, they received numerous national and international awards, including platinum certifications for "Break My Stride" in countries like Australia and New Zealand.
