Born and bred in Hong Kong in the post 80's, the love for this city has nurtured Fung into what Hong Kong is all about. He does not stand for injustice and will always strive for perfection; breathing style is synonymous to breathing air, his lifestyle becomes life itself. Navigating the beauty of the senses through his ears and fingers, Fung is like a refined artisan that meticulously crafts and translates his heart into musical notes and rhythms. Life inspires, for what is within has already inspired and is beautifully reflected in artistic forms such as music, words, poetry, painting, architecture, even a calligraphy stroke, a smile, a feeling. Fung's gift in music was first shared with the world through a theme song of a television sitcom, since then he has been recognized in multiple roles as composer, arranger and producer. His talent does not end there though. His ability to express emotion through his hands and his mesmerizing voice, has also brought him from backstage into the limelight. This is talent that the world has to see, and he has to share.
Fung's composition career was laid in strong foundation from his musical and producing training in the States. His piano training began when young, and his talent is best exemplified in his daringness to explore. Even though reading music was not his forte then, he put his creativity into use and began arranging music at a young age. Bathed in the influences of many music genres, his top favourites being Acid Jazz, Radiohead, Stone Roses and Kula Shakers, Fung's musical horizon continues to expand, and he is determined to play, without rules.
