Kasper Bjørke has been a dynamic force in electronic music for over two decades, known for his genre-defying sound that seamlessly moves from club anthems to ambient explorations. His solo career launched with In Gumbo (2007), followed by critically acclaimed works like Fool (2012) and After Forever (2014), which blended disco, pop, and left-field electronics. In 2018, he released The Fifty Eleven Project, a neo-classical ambient opus praised by The Guardian and Music Week.
Bjørke’s return to the dancefloor came with Nothing Gold Can Stay (2019), followed by the vibrant Sprinkles (2021) and cinematic Mother (2022), his second ambient album as Kasper Bjørke Quartet. He founded Sensitive Records in 2023, supporting introspective and ambient work, and released two collaborative EPs that year. His latest album, Puzzles (2024), emphasizes live, organic energy and features artists like Woolfy, Sísý Ey, and Jacob Bellens, earning praise from KEXP, Electronic Groove, and Metal Magazine.
As a DJ, he’s played iconic venues like Panorama Bar, Fabric, and festivals including Sónar and Roskilde. While he’s scaled back touring to reduce his climate footprint, he continues to perform select gigs. With new collaborations and a third Quartet album in the works, Bjørke remains one of Scandinavia’s most eclectic and forward-thinking producers.
