Tol & Tol, a Dutch musical duo consisting of brothers Cees and Thomas Tol from Volendam, began their music career in 1976 as members of BZN, one of the most successful Dutch pop groups of the 1970s. Thomas Tol composed 24 hit songs for BZN, including "Mon Amour" and "Pearlydumm", while Cees Tol served as a guitarist. In 1988, they left BZN to pursue a solo career as Tol & Tol. Their debut album, Tol & Tol, was released in 1989, followed by Sedalia in 1991 and III in 1993, all of which charted within the top 25 in the Netherlands. The duo's most successful single, "Eleni", reached international charts in 1990, featuring Greek singer Corina Vamvakari. Their subsequent albums included IV (1999), Hollands Glorie (2001), and V (2001). In addition to their own releases, they composed for other artists, notably Jan Smit. The duo disbanded following the death of Cees Tol on April 13, 2018.
