Spektacoolär was formed in 1996 in Hanover, Germany. The hip-hop band consists of Matthias Reinsdorf, Maik Jahnke, Ersen Eren and Jörg Pape. The musicians combine rap with themes from the everyday lives of young people and address topics such as love, aggression and school violence in their lyrics. Spektacoolär tours in 1997 with Stefan Raab and Bürger Lars Dietrich, among others. The album 365 Tage is released in 1998. Singles such as "Es wird ja alles wieder gut", "Meine kleine Schwester" and "Du bist abgehau'n" emerge from this project. "Meine kleine Schwester" is awarded a gold record after selling over 250,000 copies and is one of the band's best-known tracks. The album SO ULtimativ follows in 1999. The third and final album Spektakulös is released in 2000. After this release, the band breaks up.
