Hendrik Otto "Henk" Westbroek, born on February 27, 1952, in Zuilen, Netherlands, is a Dutch singer, television presenter, and politician. After graduating with a degree in sociology in 1976, Westbroek began his musical career in the 1980s as part of the group Het Goede Doel, which achieved success with singles such as "In 't leven" and "Gijzelaar". In 1982, he formed a side project called Henk en Henk with fellow band member Henk Temming. After leaving Het Goede Doel in 1991, Westbroek embarked on a solo career, releasing albums like Voorjaar (1992) and Vrij (1994). Notable songs from his solo work include "Waar ze loopt te wandelen" and "Zelfs je naam is mooi". He also wrote the song "Vrede", which represented the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993, performed by Ruth Jacott.
