Tonton Alex (Alexandre Hostein) is a multidisciplinary artist born in the south of France. Both composer, musician, filmmaker and visual artist, his original artistic universe has been built year after year around his passion for arts. His long peregrinations (Egypt, United States, Jamaica) also strongly influenced his work. Former member of the french reggae band Jayadeva, he’s now developing his personal projects and increasing new collaborations. His music made of Jamaican dub, jazz, classical music or even hiphop, is both carried by a modern and a vintage sound and touch. He’s accompanied on stage by his acolytes from the Uncle Band. The vocal harmonies alternate with flying dubs pushed by the very young and powerful drums/bass section.
