Mr. Dalvin (Dalvin Degrate) singer, songwriter, musician, producer and member of the iconic, multi-platinum selling recording group, Jodeci , known for breathing new hip-hop and soul fire into the R&B music genre debuts his new single entitled which he describes as “a feel-good record for all ages and genres of music—appropriate for the times that we are living in”. From the onset of their Uptown/Universal days, Mr. Dalvin began to show his musical diversity by contributing additional production to and co-writing several of Jodeci's smash releases. Mr. Dalvin continued his Midas touch as the Creative Director for the group’s Live Shows and architect of the bands trendsetting fashion image-as JODECI went on to become Hip-Hop Soul culture-bearers and urban fashion innovators.
Collectively, Jodeci albums and singles have sold 25 million units and captured nominations and wins of several top industry awards including Billboard Music Award, American Music Award and the Soul Train Music Award to name a few. Mr. Dalvin has also written and produced for multi-platinum artists such as Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Jewel, 2Pac, Flo Rida, as well as, hit soundtracks Dangerous Minds and Above the Rim. Possessing an eye for talent, he discovered female rapper Missy Elliot and Love & Hip-Hop’s own STEVIE J.
