Angelika Weiz is a German singer specializing in blues, jazz, and soul. She began singing as a teenager in a school choir and joined the band Modern Blues at 16. In 1975, she became a member of the Erfurt-based blues band ergo, founded by her then-husband Waldemar Weiz. Her career advanced in 1983 when she joined Günther Fischer’s sextet in Berlin. In 1986, she founded her own band, initially called Good Vibration Orchestra and later Loud People. Her notable albums include Heimat (1992), Free... (1994), Adams Lounge (2003), and Weiz Christmas & Adrians Traum (2016).
