Juan Solano is the stage name of Juan Manuel Navarrete Solano, an industrial engineer (MS, MBA), singer and songwriter of the Latin pop genre born in Villavicencio, Colombia. His musical career as a solo singer began since the beginning of 2016 with the production of a 4-song EP, seeking an original style within the Latin pop genre at the hands of producers Jorge Holguín “Pyngwi” and Juan Da Morales.
In 2017, he decided to contract new musical services with producer Juan Da Morales for the production of his first musical album, exploring new styles and composition within the Urban Pop genre. The album was co-produced by MAJK and recorded at Art & co Holding Studios Bogotá, Colombia and The Rude Boyz Studios Medellín, Colombia. For the post-production process of the album we worked with renowned mixing and mastering engineers such as Boris Milan (USA), Luc Tellier (CAN), Jeff Juliano (USA), Dave Kutch (USA), Chris Gehringer (USA), Kevin Peterson (USA) and Mavig (COL).
As part of the album promotion process, 5 singles have been released (Sin Ti, Tenerte Otra Vez, Pa' La Calle featuring Donkirap, El Intenso, Casi Un Mes. July 23, 2021, was established as the official release date from the album titled "Mi Maldicion", which contains 14 songs, 2 acoustic versions and 1 vallenato version. The genre of the album can be classified as Pop, however there are sub-genres of Latin, Pop Ballad and Urbano.
