Stuart John "Woolly" Wolstenholme was an English keyboardist and vocalist who co-founded Barclay James Harvest in September 1966 as a keyboard player and vocalist. The band released their self-titled debut album Barclay James Harvest in mid-1970. Wolstenholme's mellotron playing became a signature of the band's sound throughout the 1970s. Notable albums include Once Again (1971), Barclay James Harvest and Other Short Stories (1971), and Everyone is Everybody Else (1974). Wolstenholme left Barclay James Harvest in 1979 due to clinical depression, pursuing a short solo career with the band Maestoso before retiring from music. He rejoined John Lees' version of Barclay James Harvest in the late 1980s and continued performing until his death in December 2010.
