My first album 'Into pieces' is out!
In the life of a musician, there are albums that impose themselves as evident. Unexpected records, which are suddenly born, as much as a completion as a new start. Into Pieces is one of these.
A refined album, with no artifice: one guitar, one voice. A return to the essentials for someone who has spent 10 years playing on stage with various bands.
Inspired by the sensitivity of singers like Joni Mitchell as well as more contemporary artists like Aldous Harding and Adrianne Lenker (the singer of Big Thief), Into Pieces is a break-up album : "Like the relationship, I was myself in pieces at the time, trying to understand why we had fallen apart, why we had shattered". This is the subject of these songs, without unnecessary reserve, in which the musician wonders how it is that love can shift and disappear?
Into Pieces was recorded alone during the confinement on a 4-track cassette recorder. "I could have worked with a computer, but by adopting a recording method that radically restricted the possibilities of cleaning up the sound, I didn't give in to the temptation to sanitize it. I favored the truth of the emotion."
