Auser Musici, a period instrument ensemble specializing in early music repertory from the Tuscan region of Italy, was founded by flautist Carlo Ipata in Pisa in 1997. The group began performing throughout Europe and the United States, focusing on vocal and instrumental works from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Their album, Musica Da Camera E Concerto Per Clavicembalo, was released in 2003. Auser Musici has since released numerous albums, including Luigi Boccherini's work, Flute Quintets Op. 19 (2008), under exclusive contract with Hyperion Records. In 2010, their recording of Neapolitan flute concertos was highlighted as an Editor’s Choice by the International Record Review. The ensemble is known for its collaborations with principal singers Maria Grazia Schiavo, Elena Cecchi Fedi, and Furio Zanasi, and has maintained a reciprocal relationship with Musica Toscana in Louisville, Kentucky.
