Miami-based duo Rosa Rosa was formed by Colombian musicians Felipe Navia (Juanes, Poper, La Cirugía) and Juan Sebastian Naranjo (Gatoblanco) in 2017. The band felt inspired by a variety of genres including Brit-rock, new wave, and Latin music to write their own material. Mantra and Miedo were the first singles released by the band in 2018. A few months later, Mar de Mares and Deja became the continuation of a process to be culminated by the release of their debut album - La Flor de la Verdad - by the indie label South Mountain Music in May 2020. Navia and Naranjo define Rosa Rosa's music as a clash of melancholy and celebration.
