Harold Elwin Bice Jr., known professionally as Bo Bice, was born on November 1, 1975, in Huntsville, Alabama. He is an American singer and musician who began his music career performing with various bands on the nightclub circuit before gaining national attention through American Idol. Prior to his appearance on the show, Bice released several albums with his bands, including Ex Gratia (1999) with Purge and Recipe for Flavor (2000) with SugarMoney. In 2005, Bice auditioned for the fourth season of American Idol, where he became a fan favorite known for his rock performances. He finished as the runner-up to Carrie Underwood. Following his appearance on Idol, Bice released his debut solo album, The Real Thing (2005), which included the single "Inside Your Heaven", reaching Number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite being dropped by RCA Records in 2007, Bice continued to release music through his own label, SugarMoney, including the albums See The Light (2007) and 3 (2010). Additionally, he was the lead singer of Blood, Sweat & Tears from 2013 until 2018.
