Marc LaFrance is a well-known and highly regarded music industry professional with a career spanning 5 decades. A drummer, vocalist, producer, and songwriter on over 100 albums, Marc has performed over 1,000 recording sessions and countless live engagements for some of the world’s biggest artists including Alice Cooper, Mötley Crüe, Bon Jovi, Cher, Carly Simon, Blue Murder, The Cult, David Lee Roth, Scorpions, Crowcuss, Chilliwack, Payolas, Loverboy, Trooper, Prism, Shari Ulrich, Bruce Miller, Straight Lines, Glass Tiger, Long John Baldry, Black Veil Brides, Michael Bublé's Christmas in New York, and many many more. You may also recognize his voice from the internationally renowned video game series: Guitar Hero.
LaFrance’s powerful gift was first notably used by producer Bob Rock for the Motley Crüe album Dr. Feelgood. With his tight control and impressive range, Marc’s vocals were seamlessly interwoven through every track including massive superhit Kickstart My Heart. Mr. Rock then tapped Marc for voice work on almost every project thereafter.
In 1994, Marc produced his first solo record Out of Nowhere with Paul Deal from Loverboy and launched it on his own label Delinquent Records. The tracks that did not make it to the record were released on CD under the artist name Blackstone along with some of the same songs available on Out of Nowhere. Those additional recordings have never been available digitally but are now released for the first time ever as the Marc LaFrance/Paul Dean - Blackstone EP. Since 2020 Marc has released many new songs as a solo artist as well with his bands Cease & Desist and Thunderbird.
