Nick Kent, Oregon-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist writes with raw emotion, holding nothing back in the process. Raised on the Oregon coast as the oldest of three boys, Nick grew up surfing and singing. By his eighth birthday, Nick began classical guitar lessons and eventually picked up piano too. However, the thought of writing his own music spoke to Nick more than anything else.
Nick enrolled in the University of Oregon and achieved his first taste of virality with a lip-syncing video. Each subsequent post boosted Nick’s profile as he gained over 1.2 million followers on TikTok. To pay the bills while he pursued his musical dream in LA, Nick signed with preeminent modeling agency Wilhelmina.
Along the way, Nick carefully shaped his unique sound. “I want to unpack a lot of different feelings in untraditional ways,” he explains. “I’ll illustrate sadness through upbeat sounds. I follow my intuition and put a little bit of myself in every song.”
