First a chorister in Birmingham UK, then jazz gigs across the West Midlands, Hilgrove eventually settled in Worcestershire where he writes music for Film, Television and Games alongside classical and choral commissions. In down time between projects he loves to record intimate solo piano works and experiment with space and sound in Spatial Audio.
He received three Best Score awards for his score to the feature film "Suicide Club" and his music has featured in films and shows worldwide. Hilgrove is also Music Director for The Film Orchestra based in Worcestershire, acting as host and compere for their flagship concerts.
