Rockstrada emerged in December 2003, when vocalist Rafael Pompeu met the members of the first formation through a ride.
Rockstrada has accumulated hundreds of presentations in more than fifty cities, including opening national and international shows, participating in festivals with bands from different generations of Brazilian Rock, its own songs winning awards in competitions and several appearances in the media.
With a constant number of original releases, Rockstrada has been gaining recognition from the public and the media. The band's first album “Novo Caminho” (2011) featured Edgard Scandurra (guitarist of Ira!) and Andre Jung (former drummer of Ira! and Titãs). Both repeated their participation in the audiovisual special recorded during the pandemic, in February 2021, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album.
In December 2023, celebrating its 20th anniversary, Rockstrada released, through the Orangeira Music label, the album “Agora”, containing 13 of its own songs, the six previously released collaborative singles (among them partnerships with artists such as Ira! and Vespas Mandarinas ) and seven more new songs.
“Agora” represents the sound of the band’s current lineup, which, since 2018, has included Rafael Pompeu (vocals and guitar), Emerson Silva (drums), Ricardo Alves (bass) and Tiago Gotardelo (guitar and vocals). “Agora” explores different aspects of rock, with lyrics about reflections, behaviors and relationships.
