Guards, an American rock band formed in New York City in 2010, consisted of Richie James Follin on vocals and guitar, Loren Humphrey on drums, and Kaylie Church on keyboards and vocals. The trio initially gained attention with their eponymous debut EP released under 3 Syllables Records in 2010. Their first singlem "Resolution of One"m was released by Small Plates Records in December 2010. In February 2013, Guards released their debut album, In Guards We Trust, which received critical acclaim. The album featured notable songs such as "Silver Lining", which appeared in the Big Ten Conference's "Maps" television commercial, and "I Know It's You", included in FIFA 14 and the film Endless Love. Guards toured extensively in support of their debut album, opening for acts like Queens of the Stone Age and MGMT, and performing at major festivals including Coachella and Lollapalooza.
