Black Sun Empire

Black Sun Empire is a Dutch drum and bass group formed in Utrecht, Netherlands, in 1997, consisting of producers Rene Verdult and brothers Micha and Milan Heyboer. They began producing music together in 1993 and released a debut single "Voltage / Skin Deep" (1999) through Piruh Records. In 2004, they released a first full-length studio album Driving Insane (2004), which included the track "Arrakis", featured in the trailer for EVE Online. Their subsequent albums included Cruel and Unusual (2005), Endangered Species (2007), Lights and Wires (2010), and From the Shadows (2012). The latter album earned a spot on Beatport's Top 5 Best Selling Albums of 2012. In 2013, they established Blackout Music NL and began hosting Blackout festival events. Their sixth studio album, The Wrong Room (2017), was released in March of that year.
