Newton, a Spanish band formed in 1994, was composed of members J. J. Verdu, Juan Carlos Pla, and José Vicente Molla. The group gained prominence with their electronic music style, particularly mákina, which was popular in Spain during the 1990s. Their breakthrough came with the release of "Streamline" in 1994, a song that became one of their most recognised works. Throughout their career, Newton was known for producing music under various pseudonyms such as Carlton, Crazy Heaven, Edison or Omega, showcasing their versatility and creativity. In 2006, a shortened version of "Streamline" was featured in a Pepsi commercial starring Saturday Night Live host Jimmy Fallon, which briefly brought the group to wider attention in the United States.
