Ma fille ! Nouvelle Chanson
Chrystelle possesses a certain "je ne sais quoi" of the popular female singers of yesteryears, the kind that captivate with the clarity of their voice and the poetry of simple words.
Her project in alternative French music echoes Yseult or Janie, with a hint of Oriental fragrance.
Under the artistic direction of Johsef (Terrenoire, Céline Dion...), Chrystelle pens intimate lyrics on sometimes harsh themes, aiming to bring out the poetry within. Mental illness, self-rejection, uprooting... there is beauty to be found behind each challenge in life.
The production is minimalistic and modern, stripped of artifice, as she confronts herself. The singer, with her warm and profound voice, lets her "poetry of solitude" burst forth.
Chrystelle grew up between France, Lebanon, and Ivory Coast, three cultures that inspire her musicality. As a hyperactive child, music finally channeled her energy. Charles Aznavour, Michel Berger, Jean-Jacques Goldman...
After releasing her first album with her initial band Hushh in 2015 under My Major Company (with Yseult on backing vocals), Chrystelle became Pascal Obispo's Mary Magdalene for his musical show "Jesus, from Nazareth to Jerusalem" in 2017.
In 2020, she studied music business at Berklee College of Music to create her own label, Grand Méchant Loup, on which she signed her first solo project.
