Pulseprogramming is an American electronic musical group and multimedia art project founded in 1998 in Portland, Oregon, by Marc Hellner and Joel Kriske. The group released its self-titled debut album, Pulseprogramming, in 1999 on the Aesthetics label. In 2001, the collective followed with the albums 1 of 2 in 1000 and 2 of 2 in 1000. Their 2003 album, Tulsa for One Second, was described by Pitchfork Media as “Lap-pop”. After Hellner and Kriske parted ways, Hellner collaborated with the production team Telefon Tel Aviv to release the solo album Marriages in 2005. That same year, the group provided the original score for the film Play by L’Avventura Films. They released the collection of scores From Nowhere Near in 2007 and the album Charade Is Gold in 2011. The group’s members include Hellner and Chanel Pease.
