Edmundo Inácio gained national recognition on The Voice Portugal, where he rediscovered his connection with traditional Portuguese music. His striking performance ignited his passion for blending tradition with innovation. At Festival da Canção he reached the final.
Following this success, Edmundo released “Vai-se Andando?”, his debut album, which merges Portuguese heritage with contemporary sounds. The album returns now both in a physical and new digital edition featuring an additional track, “Quem Me Dera”, co-produced with Joaquim Albergaria, Ivo Costa and co-written with Nuno Figueiredo, offering a glimpse into his evolving musical direction.
Born in 1999 in Portimão, Edmundo has been drawn to music since childhood. He studied at the conservatory, achieving proficiency in multiple instruments, and later expanded his knowledge by studying media production in the UK. Passionate about cinema, dance, and cultural preservation, he dreams of directing a film and founding a music academy.
As he works on new projects, Edmundo remains devoted to reshaping Portuguese music, drawing from influences like Amália Rodrigues, António Variações, but also from international legends such as Freddie Mercury and Stromae. With his unique vision, he is set to leave a lasting mark on the portuguese music scene.
