This Time Next Year was an American pop punk and melodic hardcore band from Walnut Creek, California. The group released three EPs and two full-length albums during their six-year career from 2006 to 2012. Their first label EP, A Place for You, was released in July 2007 by Escapist Records. In October 2009, This Time Next Year released their debut album, Road Maps and Heart Attacks, under Equal Vision Records. Notable songs included "New Sensation" and "Alex in Wonderland". The band toured extensively with acts such as Fireworks and Set Your Goals. Their second full-length album, Drop Out of Life, was released in September 2011. This Time Next Year cancelled their UK tour in early 2012 due to financial issues and subsequently disbanded in October 2012.
