Jim Page, born in 1949 in Palo Alto, California, is an American folk singer-songwriter and social activist. He began playing guitar at age 15 and moved to Seattle in 1971. In 1974, his protest song convinced the Seattle City Council to drop the requirement that street performers have a permit to perform. Page's music career included several notable albums such as On the Street Again (1976), This Movie Is for Real (1982), and More Than Anything Else in the World (1993). His best-known songs include "Fireside", "Hiroshima Nagasaki Russian Roulette", and "On the Street Again". Page became known for his activism, particularly his support for buskers and Palestinian justice. He frequently toured internationally but continued to perform as a street performer at Pike Place Market in Seattle.
