Hamertje Tik is the alter ego of Dutch drummer (Kraak & Smaak) and producer Joris Feiertag. He
produces a mix of UK bass, UK garage, funk and downtempo. He can be recognized by his unique
and organic mix of catchy melodies with syncopated beats and samples.
His fresh sound is inspired by old-skool broken beats producers as Dego (4Hero) and Seiji (Bugz in
the Attic) combined with news sounds inspired by Mount Kimbie, Dorian Concept, Bonobo, SBTRKT
and James Blake.
Hamertje Tik’s energetic shows with live drums, electronics and visuals are comparable to "The
Chemical Brothers in her best days", according to Dutch music platform '3voor12'. He will release his
new, fourth EP in October 2014 followed by an Amsterdam Dance Event show on October 15!
