Home Video, an electronic rock duo from Brooklyn, New York, were formed in 2003 by David Gross and Collin Ruffino. Originally from New Orleans, the pair began their musical journey under the name Home Video after moving to New York City. Their breakthrough came with the release of the single "That You Might" and the Citizen EP in 2004 on Warp Records. In 2006, Defend Music released their first full-length album, No Certain Night or Morning, preceded by the single "Penguin", featuring a remix by Tim Goldsworthy of DFA Records. Subsequent releases included the EP It Will Be Ok in 2009 and the sophomore album The Automatic Process in 2010. The duo continued with the EP A Quiet Place in 2011 and their third album, Here in Weightless Fall, in 2014.
