Lauriana Mae is an American pop, soul, and R&B singer-songwriter born on January 18, 1983, in Red Bank, New Jersey. Influenced by legends such as Etta James and Billie Holiday, she began singing in a church choir before attending a performing arts high school. Early in her career, she was a member of the group Scene 23 on the television program Popstars. Mae signed with Atlantic Records in 2011 and released her debut EP, Love Mae, that same year. In 2013, she gained wider recognition for her collaboration with CeeLo Green on the single “Only You”, which led to a performance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Her subsequent discography includes the 2015 EP City of Diamonds and the 2017 studio album Can't Go Back, which featured collaborations with Raekwon and Dreezy. In 2019, she issued the album Small Town City Dreams.
